Giving Back

The global Covid-19 Monument Memorial is taking shape. Ultimately, it will be a series of 25-foot steel structures indicative of both a dandelion and the actual Covid-19 virus.

As part of WPNT Ltd.'s Giving Back pledge, a milestone to note. Ground has broken for the Covid Monument Memorial of Honor, Remembrance and Resilience. WPNT Ltd. has been a supporter of the effort from the on set including the international design contest held earlier this year.

WPNT Ltd. is seeking help from clients to spread the word on their social media about the building of the Covid-19 Monument of Honor, Remembrance and Resilience of which our firm is a supporter. This monument is for those who perished, for those who lost a loved one, for those who have recovered, and for those front line workers who selflessly served during the darkest and most uncertain days of the pandemic.

More than 200 designs from around the world were submitted for the Covid Memorial Monument Design Competition. A distinguished jury of art and architecture experts will make the final decision and award $20,000 U.S. to the winner.

WPNT Ltd. is supporting an international design competition for a covid memorial monument. A distinguished panel of judges will make the selection and award the creator $20,000 USD.

The Veterans Community Project continues to grow the six existing VCP Villages around the country provide a tiny home on the property to a vet. The transitional housing provides privacy, safety and the ability for a vet to reintegrate into society.

Continuing its leadership in righting economic imbalances in communities of color, Hope Development & Credit Union and Netflix are working together. Read about this significant commitment in Wired magazine.

The Night Ministry draws on 30 years of providing healthcare, housing and connection to the poor and homeless. These are people who are most vulnerable to poor health. 500 doses of vaccines have been given so far as part of its nightly street travel to serve those in need.

Non-profit social services organizations have been the lifeline for so many families during the pandemic and particularly in Texas following the devastating effects of the freeze there. One is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County serving the Fort Worth area which we are proud to be supporting.

We are proud to continue our support of the Hope Enterprise Corporation and the Hope Credit Union. Their advocacy and ‘boots on ground’ work in the Deep South is effective, inspirational, and a model for other opportunity deserts where lack of access to financial resources, housing, and healthcare is significant.

A regular supporter of the Ricky Byrdsong Race Against Hate, WPNT Ltd. participated with 5,000 other runners to raise money for the cause.

Stephanie Nora White guest lectured to more than 100 students at her alma mater, the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
